Reporting    Relationship:
Sales    Manager of Ripley Tools China
Location:
Shanghai,    China
Base    Compensation:
Target    of between 108,000 to 126,000 RMB per year
Performance    Bonus Compensation (if    applicable):
25%    at target and met objectives (TBD)
Other    Compensation (if    applicable):
TBD
Education    Requirements:
Bachelor    Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (University)    is required. Master of Business    Administration is preferred.
Principal Areas of  ResPONsibility:
The Telecom Salesman  is responsible for implementing sales and market penetration strategies in  order to cultivate and capture new business opportunities to meet annual sales  goals.


    • Develop local market channels, including  management and development of existing and future distributors or agents  through product and technical training, and participate in direct technical  selling roles with agents, distributors and teams to meet the project  deliverables and goals
    • Meet with key customers and market channel  partners, assisting distributors and salesmen with maintaining relationships  and closing sales transactions
    • Analyze and understand customer strategies,  future product plans, and expansion activities to develop penetration  strategies for new business opportunities
    • Cultivate customer relationships, deliver  effective proposals, and negotiate contracts to capture profitable new business
    • Respond to sales inquiries, confirm product  and service delivery, ensure customer service satisfaction and follow up on  sales activity
    • Stay informed on product specification,  technical application and services, market conditions, competitive activities, and  advertising and promotion trends
    • Provide weekly activity reports to the  Strategic Development Manager of Ripley Tools China
    • Travel up to 60% of the time if needed.

Personal  Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:
Must be an excellent communicator.  Must have strong analytical skills and capable of identifying  sales/market opportunities and problems with suggested solutions. Must be a motivated self-starter able to work  independently and with a cross-functional team.  Must  demonstrate commitment to Ripley Tools Values and a Total Quality philosophy  with a strong sense of urgency, commitment to sound business ethics and customer  confidentiality.


    • Detail oriented, strong organizational  skills
    • Strong written and oral communication skills  and ability to work in a team environment
    • Effective English language skills are required  (especially written)
    • Strategic thinking, problem-solving,  negotiation, and decision-making skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications  including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Flexible to work extended hours and able to  travel as required for sales calls, market channel partners and distributor  support, and company training (in the U.S.)

Work Experience:


    • 2 - 3 years professional selling experience  in Telecom preferably with knowledge of network equipment and wire and cable  preparation applications
    • Demonstrated experience selling highly  engineered/value added products
    • Direct work experience in sales and marketing  with knowledge and understanding of modern business marketing and sales  practices
